The ten year difference
Ten year workmanship warranty.
The standard subcontract in this trade carries a twelve month defects liability period. Systems we install and maintain carry our own workmanship for ten years, while the maintenance stays in place. Both halves are ours: we installed it clean and we come back to it.
The terms are on this page. Workmanship only. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty.

Why we can
We're the ones looking after it.
Visit frequency is set per asset rather than as a blanket number, and cooling towers and other higher risk plant are checked on their own schedule. We see the system, and we fix the small things before they turn into failures. A system nobody comes back to is a system nobody knows the state of. We come back.

On every system we install and maintain
Ten years
The terms
What it covers, exactly.
Ten years is a big number, so here are the conditions, all of them.
What we warrant
Our own installation workmanship on a mechanical system we installed: the joints, the brackets, the supports, the sealing, the set out. Ten years from practical completion, for as long as that system stays under a current maintenance agreement with us. If our workmanship fails in that period we repair it at our cost.
What it does not cover
Equipment and plant, which carry the manufacturer's warranty. Consumables such as filters and flexible duct, which are replaced under the maintenance schedule. Fair wear and tear. Damage, alteration or work by anyone other than us. Failure caused by misuse, by a lack of maintenance, or by a design we did not prepare.
If the agreement ends, or the building sells
The ten years runs while the maintenance agreement runs. If the agreement ends, our workmanship stays covered for 12 months from installation and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected. The warranty transfers to a new owner who takes over the maintenance agreement with us, on written notice within 30 days of settlement.
How to claim. Email admin@victorianprojects.com.au or call (03) 9798 7780 with the site address and a description of the fault. We attend within 5 business days.
We bear the cost of the repair and of assessing the claim. You bear the cost of giving us access to the plant.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Still standing behind it in year eight.
If you want a mechanical contractor who is still standing behind the job in year eight, that is us. We have been at this since 2014.
